Governance & responsibility

Safeguarding Policy

A demonstration public summary of the arrangements intended to protect children and adults at risk from harm.

Purpose and commitment

Safeguarding concerns require recognition, recording and prompt escalation.

The company aims to ensure personnel understand safeguarding boundaries, recognise potential indicators of abuse or exploitation and pass concerns to the appropriate safeguarding route without attempting their own investigation.

The policy should apply wherever personnel may encounter children or adults at risk, including events, education, public venues, community facilities and other client environments.

Responsibilities

Clear ownership and escalation.

Managers must provide suitable instructions and identify the safeguarding lead or client route. Personnel must report concerns promptly, preserve factual information and follow emergency arrangements where immediate harm is suspected.

Reporting and review

Concerns must be acted upon.

The approved policy must identify internal safeguarding contacts, customer escalation, emergency routes and the records required following a disclosure or observed concern.

Review dates, document ownership and the approved full policy should be confirmed before publication.
